  • Touch-screen support for BlackBerry Storm users (!!)
  • Much better, faster and more accurate location lookups…
    • … especially for those in London and Singapore (don’t ask :)
  • Improved performance (both speed & battery life)
  • New users can now sign up from the phone
  • Ability to see nearby tips & tip details
  • Ability to add friends
  • Ability to find friends…
    • via scanning address book
    • via Twitter name
    • via first name / last name / phone number

So there ya have it, just forget the story from this morning. foursquare.com/blackberry/beta

Just a couple weeks back we told you about foursquare updating their BlackBerry application to allow for friend management.  Well the folks over at foursquare have been hard at work and have updated the app to version 1.5.  So far the one big change that is noticeable is that Tips has been added, allowing users to view Tips in their area. Users can also add Tips and Todo items for venues they frequent.  Another thing that is noticeable is the apparent lack of a BlackBerry application for Storm users.  It is only a matter of time before foursquare users with touch screen BlackBerry’s swarm and demand an app for their devices.
