HTC Incredible Spotted In Verizon Wireless Inventory System

Posted on 24. Feb, 2010 by in Tech News

It was no secret that the HTC Incredible was going to be heading to Verizon Wireless at some point.  The question still remains when, but one thing is certain the time is getting closer.  The above screenshot shows that the Incredible is now in the Verizon Wireless inventory system.  Typically after an item is entered into the inventory system over at Big Red launch is really close.  The top SKU of ARD6300DU is for the launch kit which is sent to the stores for display units and pamphlets with information about the device.  The second SKU ARD6300VW is the actual HTC Incredible SKU.

Update: One thing I should have mentioned is that my source tells me that the Nexus One is no where to be found in the inventory system.  We all know it is coming, but it may not be as soon as most of us had hoped.

We will be sure to keep you updated as we get more info!

Thanks to BigPerm!

This is Steven’s next phone, baby. (steven is doing a very happy dance, which seems awkward to trained dancers).

Might the Nexus One’s absence be due to the fact that Google is marketing their own phone directly from Android.com?

This is very true, I would assume that Verizon would have some placeholder in their inventory system for at least display units though, and even that is absent.

why would they need a display unit for verizon if it won’t be sold in verizon stores?
The whole point of the nexus one is to sell it exclusively from google thus eliminating the need for the carriers assitance for sale except for the service

Either way, fantastic news for those of us patiently waiting for news. Thanks!

I would hope that Google/Verizon would take a different approach than how they have done it with T-Mobile. The fact that the Nexus One is missing from T-Mobile’s website is not the way to go about doing it.

Finally, some news about the Incredible. I haven’t heard anything since the video leaked in early February. Personally, I don’t care about the Nexus One if I can get my hands on the Incredible. What does the Nexus One have over the Incredible anyways? It has a lame trackball and no Sense UI. The Incredible has the trackpad & the Sense UI. I vote Incredible!

I wouldn’t hold my breath for N1 in VZW’s inventory system. VZW has said that they won’t be stocking inventory of the N1, it will be completely handled by big G

I’m pretty knew to researching upcoming Verizon phones…does anyone know typically how long it has taken in the past for a phone to go from showing up on the inventory list to actually being in stores? And is the Incredible and Desire essentially the same phone?
