MusicSkins creates and sells vinyl skins for those people who love to customize their gadgets.  The skins are usually filled with some sort of music artist, their album work, or some sort of artists work.  At CES MusicSkins announced their new Beatles line.  The skins are made of premium vinyl and have an adhesive that is completely removable and doesn’t leave any residue.  Meaning you can apply and reapply the skin as often as you would like.  They make the custom fit skins for devices ranging from BlackBerry’s, iPhones, laptops, MP3 players, and many many more gadgets.  Not only do they have 1000′s of designs relating to music, but you can also customize and create your own design which they will print out and send to you.

Today I received my own custom skin for my 13″ MacBook Pro.  At first I was hesitant to apply it after a recent incident I had with a skin (that story coming soon) but once I opened the package and saw the quality of the material and how easily the skin could be applied and removed I jumped right in.  From start to finish the application process was literally under 60 seconds.  Granted I have just one sheet to apply and applying them on a smaller device will take a little bit longer, but I don’t see it being a long process even on the smallest of devices. The skin is very durable.   I find it will be hard to really scratch any device that it is covering.  If you are looking for something that will protect your device and at the same time add a ton of customization, MusicSkins is the way to go.  With the seemingly endless number of artists and options on their site, combined with the ability to customize your own skin you will be sure to find one that you like.

Head on over to and start browsing their selection.  Before you do that check out the picture of the installed skin on my MacBook Pro below.
