AT&T Chooses Yahoo Search Over Google for the Backflip
Posted on 01. Mar, 2010 by John in Tech News

Next week the Backflip will finally be available for AT&T, the networks first Android device. However it seems they have gone in another direction when it comes to the devices search engine. Thats right, they have removed Android’s familiar Google Search widget, and replaced it with a Yahoo widget. In fact, they have reportedly incorporated Yahoo search throughout the entire device, including the browser. They have also added a ton of the usual apps we are familiar with on AT&T such as MobiTV, MusicID, AT&T Maps, and plenty more. The Backflip will be available on AT&T March 7th, 2010 for $99 after the usual rebates and contract.
