We all know how much BlackBerry super users love a good software or OS leak but until know they have come from individual parties getting their hands on them and leaking them to the general public. We all remember the BlackBerry Messenger 5.0 leak from last year. The problem with this is that sometimes it can overload the RIM or Developer’s servers as they aren’t intended to handle the load of general use. RIM seems to be alleviating some of that with introduction of BlackBerry Beta Zone.
BlackBerry Beta Zone is designed to allow BlackBerry smartphone users to engage early and often with upcoming RIM products and services. BlackBerry Beta Zone will sit side by side with the BlackBerry App World™ Test Center as part of RIM’s continuous effort to work with our dedicated BlackBerry community to bring the best products to market and evolve existing products.
BlackBerry Beta Zone will be strictly for RIM products whereas BlackBerry App World™ Test Center allows for any developer’s applications. There are already some applications availible at launch and more will be available soon.
