Motorola Devour-First Impressions, Blurred?

Posted on 05. Mar, 2010 by in Product Reviews

Verizon’s newest Android offering the Motorola Blur arrived this morning and the initial impression is that it’s a solid device that needs a software upgrade. The screen size is smaller than the Droid, which is what I’ve been using as my main device for about 2 months now, but the picture is good. The device itself feels a bit heavy, the body is milled from a solid block of aluminum so I’m sure its pretty rugged, it definitely feels that way.

As far as the software, I’m not sure what I think about it yet. I don’t like the fact that it’s running on Android 1.6, mainly because I can only have one gmail account set up. This will be a huge stumbling block as I have 4 google app accounts that I actively use. Other than that it runs smoothly considering it’s lesser processor power. Over all I think that Verizon/Motorola have a good product to add to the offering with this. I’ll have a full in depth review in a few weeks, and be watching for my extensive review on the Motorola Droid in the weeks to come also. More images after the jump.
