Verizon BlackBerry Tour 9630 Goes End Of Life In June And HTC Droid Eris Goes End Of Life In May

We had previously rumored that the HTC Droid Eris was going to go end of life on April 1st, well our sources have come through and given us the above screen shot. It shows sku ADR6200,the sku for the Eris, will be going end of life in late May. Even bigger than that, is the fact that the BlackBerry Tour 9630 is listed as going end of life in June. Whoa! I think we can safely say that this will be a direct result of the Bold 9650 will have been released before then. Maybe we will hear more about that on Monday..

So does this mean that my Droid Eris will not be getting an update to 2.0 or 2.1? If so, I am leaving Verizon as soon as my contract expires…..

Verizon, and manufacturers still support devices past their end of life dates. I can’t say either way if you are going to receive the update, but it doesn’t automatically rule out the option.
