Remember that lawsuit Apple filed against Google HTC for every type of patent infringement imaginable? Well today HTC filed a lawsuit of their own against Apple, claiming they infringe on some of their patents. There are five total patents HTC tells the International Trade Commission that Apple has infringed on. What is strange is that this filing is not a direct response to Apple’s federal filing, but a filing of its own. HTC asks the FTC to halt all sales and importation of the iPhone, iPod, and iPad which is pretty standard for this type of lawsuit. I have a feeling this battle is going to get uglier before it gets better, either that or Apple and HTC will agree to disagree and just go about their separate ways (doubtful).
