Skype updated their popular iPhone application with a welcome and long awaited feature. Going forward iPhone Skype users will finally be able to place calls through Skype via a 3G network. Great news, but there is a catch. It seems the service will only be free “until at least end of August 2010, after which there will be a small monthly fee.” Users can pick up the update in the App Store (iTunes link) right now.
