I think that this will officially go down as the worst Apple device launch to date. First Gizmodo scooped Apple by getting their hands on an iPhone 4 weeks before the official launch. That in itself is bad enough for the guys in Cupertino, but to top it off on the day the iPhone 4 came available for Pre-Orders Apple’s servers couldn’t handle the load causing Apple Fanpeople to panic and also take down AT&T’s ordering system. Those 600,000 people who did get their pre-orders before Apple announced they had suspended all orders because AT&T was sold out, then found that the “ship by” date had been pushed back from June 24th to July 2nd. Now Apple’s iPhone’s preorder page is showing the iPhone 4 ship date to be July 14th, almost a full month after the initial launch date. We are assuming that this new ship date is for all orders placed now and not previously placed orders. There is also still no word on when the white iPhone 4 will be available again as it’s still showing unavailable on the Apple Site. Were you one of the 600,000 people who got your order in? What was the delivery date in your confirmation? Let us know in the comments.
