The United States government has officially ruled on in favor of “Jailbreaking” your iPhone thanks to the latest review of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Every three years the Library of Congress reexamines the DMCA for exemptions to secure that copy written properties can be used in a non-infringing way. The iPhone being one [...]

Being humble and forthcoming about a mistake you’ve made is never easy, especially when the world is watching. As you are undoubtedly [...]

All Kin sales to halt tomorrow
Posted on 17. Jul, 2010 by John.
Our sources at Verizon have informed us that tomorrow, July 18th, Verizon stores will cease all sales of Kin devices. This comes as no surprise with the embarrassingly low device sales, and awful reviews from the majority of the tech community. This seems to be the quickest end to a Microsoft project (or mobile platform [...]

RIM fires back at Apple in response to the iPhone 4 “Antennagate” claim
Posted on 17. Jul, 2010 by David Malka.
Not sure if you guys watched Steve’s press conference yesterday concerning the iPhone 4 Antenna issue..but before I go on, I want to point out that I’ve been using an iPhone 4 since launch day and have never experienced the bar drop. Let’s get to the point..Apple claims that most smartphones lose signal when holding them in a certain way..and showed some examples. Here’s where it gets fun. Apple claims that holding the Blackberry Bold 9700 in a certain way will make you lose signal…well let me tell you that i’ve been trying it since and nothing! zip! nada! no signal lose….but again, neither does my iPhone 4 lose bars so maybe my hands are “Antennagate” proof! Nonetheless RIM wasn’t too happy about those allegations and released an official statement:
“Apple’s attempt to draw RIM into Apple’s self-made debacle is unacceptable. Apple’s claims about RIM products appear to be deliberate attempts to distort the public’s understanding of an antenna design issue and to deflect attention from Apple’s difficult situation. RIM is a global leader in antenna design and has been successfully designing industry-leading wireless data products with efficient and effective radio performance for over 20 years. During that time, RIM has avoided designs like the one Apple used in the iPhone 4 and instead has used innovative designs which reduce the risk for dropped calls, especially in areas of lower coverage. One thing is for certain, RIM’s customers don’t need to use a case for their BlackBerry smartphone to maintain proper connectivity. Apple clearly made certain design decisions and it should take responsibility for these decisions rather than trying to draw RIM and others into a situation that relates specifically to Apple.”

Your Poor iPhone 4 Reception Issues Is This Guys Fault!

I figured it out folks! I know who’s to blame for your bad iPhone 4 reception issues. Blame the the guy pictured above! Not Steve Jobs. Not AT&T for it’s network. White iPhone 4 gets un-boxed and pictured
Posted on 07. Jul, 2010 by David Malka.
Wow! All I can say is that i’m in the mood for some white chocolate right about now. A Japanese blog ImpressWatch was able to get their hands on a white iPhone 4 and un-boxed it and took some great pics. First thing I did after seeing these pictures to check the Apple website to see if the white iPhone was available..and it’s not. Not yet. Looking at the pics, we notice that the front and back glass look very similar to the white finish of the mighty mouse. I’m sure the white iPhone 4 will sell out the same day it becomes available. Will you be getting one?

Motorola Droid X initial thoughts
Posted on 07. Jul, 2010 by John.
The Droid X has landed on my desk. I have been using it for maybe 15 minutes. A few first thoughts:
- I didn’t expect it to be THIS big (TWSS). It is almost overwhelming at first. I am sure I will adjust to it after a few hours of use.
- The screen looks great
- The buttons fit the phone, don’t feel out of place.
- Camera looks sharp
That is it for now, after 20 min of use I am getting use to the size (TWSS). I will have a full review coming up in the next week.
