Blackberry Slider 9800 smiles for the camera. Again.

Excited to grab the Blackberry 9800 or perhaps play with Blackberry OS 6? patience…but while we wait, we can enjoy yet another video of the Blackberry 9800 Slider featuring Blackberry 6. Salomondrin has posted a video showing up close the Blackberry 9800. Personally i’m not such of a slider fan, but I am really looking forward to play around with Blackberry 6. Not much that we don’t already know about the device but grab some popcorn and enjoy the video after the jump!

Verizon Wireless is rebranding. Verizon: Rule the Air!

Droid-life reported they had received word that Verizon Wireless will be rebranding as of this Sunday. We have been able to confirm that they indeed are. Starting Monday Verizon Wireless will simply be referred to as; Verizon. The Test Man campaign will no longer exist (RIP Test Man) and instead the new slogan will be “Rule the Air!” It will be interesting to see how they play this out. What do you guys think? Rebranding and new slogan good or bad?

Walmart selling iPhone 4 on June 24th launch date

According to CNET and BGR Walmart will also be selling the iPhone 4 on June 24th. We all know that when Apple launches a product it gets crazy. From my experience, the best way to make sure you get your new toy without having to camp out in front of a store is to Pre-Order it. You can do so for the iPhone 4 on June 14th. If you prefer being part of the craziness that day…then you have Walmart who expect you to spend the night at the door. No word yet if Best Buy or Radio Shack will carry the iPhone 4.

We all love our devices as they come from the factory, for the most part at least. Let’s be honest here though, if we didn’t have additional apps to use on our BlackBerry, we wouldn’t use it as much. There is debate about the type and quality of apps for BlackBerry but this isn’t the time or the place for it. Over the next few weeks all of us here at BerryScoop will be offering up our top 5 applications that you can find in our BerryScoop Store. Here are mine.

BerryBuzz- I love the flexibility it gives me with setting different LED colored alerts per application or contact. I have BBM set up as blue, texts as yellow, and so on. I can tell at a glance what type of message is waiting for me, and depending on the contact who that message is from. This is by far my #1 application, something I wish the device did out of the box. Instead, the great people at BellShare have made it for us. A must have!

BerryWeather- I am not a huge weather person, but it seems to be a popular topic here in Colorado. The weather constantly changes and it is good to know and plan ahead accordingly. The versatility and ease of use that BerryWeather provides is by far the best on the BlackBerry market. My favorite feature is allowing the application to use GPS of my BlackBerry and tell me the weather where I am at.

Tether- Do I really need to explain this one? Being able to tether my BlackBerry to my laptop anywhere, without paying carrier fees.. priceless. The $50 price tag for the app is two months of service from your provider. Except, now you get to keep on tethering and don’t have to worry about more fees. You cannot pass up the discount we are offering on all apps right now.

QuickLaunch- This app has helped me move even quicker through my BlackBerry applications. Set it to a convenience key and you’re off. Simple, straight forward and increases productivity.

CropIt- This app does not get much attention, if any at all. It is sort of like a guilty pleasure of mine. CropIt will take a picture that you have stored on your BlackBerry and allow you to (you guessed it) crop it. I use this all the time for screenshots I have taken on my phone that I want to cut some info out. It is super cheap but super handy. Get it. (Full disclosure. This app was wrote by a member of our staff, Kyle Fowler. He wrote it long before he thought about blogging, infact it helped him get his foot in the door with BerryScoop)

Well..well, talk about a phone that’s not shy! This time we get nice clear pictures of the Blackberry Slider 9800. I have to admit that these pictures make me want one of these badly. These pictures show off some good angles. You will notice in one of the pictures that’s there a T-Mobile SIM in the phone but rumor has it that AT&T is suppose to be the one to release it.

AT&T stops selling iPhone 3G?

BGR has received word that AT&T has officially put out the word to their associates that they have stopped selling the iPhone 3G. A quick look on the AT&T site shows that it is still available as of right now. We will keep an eye on it for you and let you know if anything changes.

Pretty interesting looking picture, wouldn’t you agree? Well it turns out it is the screen from the upcoming iPhone under a microscope. SuperiPhone.cz put the screen to the test and actually took the time to figure out its pixel density, which ended up at 960×640. To put that into perspective, that is 4 pixels for every one pixel on the 3GS. Whether or not this is legit (obviously it is hard to tell from the picture above) is unknown. There are a ton of rumors and talks about an improved screen in the next iPhone iteration, it is very likely that this is the real deal.

Now, I remember placing my time machine somewhere… June 7th, hurry up!
