Process is pretty much the same as all previous Blackberrys except for the new OS7 Menu slight changes. All that is requires is the Network MEP or Service Provider MEP (depending on the provider your phone is from). The unlock codes are 8 or 16 digits and are unique to each phone. As you can see in this video, it’s very easy to unlock your Blackberry Bold 9900. Unlocking your Blackberry will enable you to use it with other GSM providers.

Today T-Mobile announced the upcoming availability of RIM’s latest handset the Curve 3G or as its been known around the web for quite some time as the Curve 9300. This device is mainly a refresh of the Curve series to include 3G and it comes with all of the standard BlackBerry features you’ve come to expect from every device they offer: Trackpad, Wifi, GPS, 3G. Interesting thing to note is that in RIM’s press release they say that BlackBerry 6 should be coming to this device in the coming months which would be very nice and probably make this device a worthy choice for the budget minded consumers. Well what do we have here? A tipster just sent us an image of the official invite to an AT&T hosted BlackBerry event in NYC on Tuesday, August 3rd. Based on the obvious icons in the flyer, this event can only mean one thing. BlackBerry 6. Now if I had to guess, this has 9800 written all over it, unless they have some other secret device they have been testing. This would seem to jive with the rumor floating around that the 9800 would be released on the 15th of next month. This time frame gives them space to announce and gather up as many preorders as they can. While this is obviously speculation, the writing seems to be on the wall for us to see BlackBerry 6 sooner rather than later. Heres hoping for the 9800!

RIM has just posted another video of the upcoming BlackBerry 6. I have to say it looks great, the social feeds feature looks awesome and they’ve added tabbed browsing and pinch to zoom, making them the final one to the party. Hey better late than never right. In the almost ten years I’ve worked at Research In Motion (RIM), I’ve never been as excited about a BlackBerry® software launch as I am for BlackBerry 6, which is on track for release this summer. I’m absolutely in love with the BlackBerry 6 experience and I expect other longtime users like me will feel the same. I also think the wide range of changes and added features in BlackBerry 6 will attract a lot of new users to the BlackBerry platform.

I know I’m not the only one who is looking forward to BlackBerry 6. There was a lot of excitement about our first public sneak peek of BlackBerry 6 at WES 2010, and I’m happy to share a little more today through the new video posted above.

In addition to the new fluid user interface, the video illustrates a few of the new applications and features in BlackBerry 6 that are designed to provide users with a mobile experience that is fun and approachable, yet extremely powerful. We’ll discuss these features in more detail on Inside BlackBerry as we move closer to the point when BlackBerry 6 becomes publicly available.

Tonight Research In Motion rolls out the “Official” Twitter for Blackberry bringing some changes to the previous version we’ve tried. I like the fact that RIM decided to get feedback from users before launching the official app.
